Could Drinking Pop Increase Cancer Risk?

In an interesting new development, the Food and Drug Administration have revealed that they are investigated the safety of caramel coloring in soda pop, among other foods, and are conducting new studies that could shed light on a possible cancer risk associated with the drinks.

“These efforts will inform the FDA’s safety analysis and will help the agency determine what, if any, regulatory action needs to be taken,” said FDA spokeswoman Juli Putnam.
