Hospital administration is not an easy task, especially when it comes to not knowing what the full implementation of the healthcare reform bill will mean to an urban institution like Sinai-Grace. It is my love for and indebtedness to this community that wakes me up and gets me here so early each day. Every once in a while someone shows up at Sinai-Grace and reminds that that they too share the desire to provide high quality and safe care to southeast Michigan.
Recently, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives found time to visit this community pillar. He serves the 14th District which includes Detroit, Grosse Pointe, Hamtramck, Southfield and Pontiac. Having been born in Pontiac, he gave me the feeling that he understood what needed to be done for the citizens of this community. He recently announced his intention to run in the 2014 election for the United States Senate seat being vacated by retiring Senator Carl Levin.
Thanks for stopping by Sinai-Grace, Congressman Gary Peters.
